LECO-UWB-S5 is a 2-component, epoxy-based coating for application on wet surfaces and under water. The coating system consists of a corrosion protection Primer and a TopCoat.
LECO-UWB-S5 can be used in unfavorable weather conditions (fog, rain, dripping water), under water and at temperatures above 4 ° C. A complete curing is nevertheless guaranteed. LECO-UWB-S5 is impact and pressure resistant. The TopCoat has a high abrasion resistance. The coating system is free of lead compounds and solvent-free. The hardened coating is environmentally neutral. Sticks to many different surfaces, e.g. Concrete, mortar, steel, various non-ferrous metals. Basically, the better the substrate preparation, the better the adhesion of the coating products. The substrate must be free from loose parts, paint residues, mill scale, oil, grease, etc. Parts that are not firmly bonded to the substrate must be removed mechanically. The product is not suitable as a negative seal against pressurized water.
LECO-UWB-S5 was applied by short-haired brush in tight, circular movements under pressure.
